Scrub Removal

Legacy Habitat Management are a leading contractor carrying out scrub clearance and vegetation removal works on sites nationwide. Operating a wide range of specialist equipment enables us to offer a complete package of works from removal of scrub, trees, blackthorn or hawthorn, rhododendron through to follow works including stump removal, mulching, chipping or disposal of arisings.

Using our AHWI M700 Forestry Mulcher mounted on a Fendt 900 series tractor we can mulch trees of up to 40cm, either standing or felled previously. With its reverse driving position, it allows the working end of the machine to be targeted directly at the work area in the safest possible manner. Mulching with this equipment can be the most effective way of removing difficult materials such as blackthorn and hawthorn which can be awkward to feed into chippers.

We also operate 2 excavators with vegetation removal grabs fitted and a Heizomat whole wood tree chipper. This machine is fitted with hydraulically assisted input feed conveyor and roller that can cope with whole tree crowns, chipping directly into our Unimog mounted chip box.

Scrub clearance works can be carried out on green-field or brown-field sites as a site clearance project to enable development, re-cultivation of land, tree thinning, powerline clearance works. Mixed vegetation issues can be dealt with from tree material, woody scrub, rhododendron, bramble and other herbaceous vegetation clearance.

Our tractor operators are CPCS certified allowing work to be undertaken on construction and civils sites. We also have Lantra trained wood chipper operators. All of our works is carried out under site specific risk assessments and method statements.
